Since childhood, everyone's familiar Christmas story about the fairy tale love story of Vakula and Oksana, saturated with the spirit of folklore, folk tales and legends, comes to life on stage to the beautiful music of Igor Poklad.

The adventures of Vakula in search of strings for his beloved, the love of the devil for Solokha - a special world with its own rules and laws arises before us. According to an old merry custom, on the night before Christmas, young boys and girls go caroling, they sing carol songs, wish health and wealth, and respected and revered Cossacks visit each other. And this very real world is so organically poured into a fabulous world that it seems as if it should be so. The world is fabulous and real, seasoned with Gogol's humor, merge into a single, bright and colorful action. And it seems that there is nothing more ordinary than a witch flying into a pipe, a month, a devil dancing in his hands, and the devil himself ...

The pre-Christmas atmosphere of the musical spills out from the stage into the auditorium and it is impossible not to plunge into this enchanting world of the Ukrainian winter night.
