"Number 13" - a play by Ray Cooney - is a sitcom in its purest form
For the third decade already, "No. 13" has been successfully marching on the stage of the whole world. The play entered the golden fund of the British Theater, as one of the best English comedies of the twentieth century.
The action takes place in a hotel in 13 rooms ...
At the center of the story is British Assistant Prime Minister Richard Willie, who decided to skip the parliamentary debate, preferring active action to chatter. He rents a hotel room and brings the secretary there.
Everything could have ended quite predictably, but a "third extra" appears on the scene - a private detective accidentally pressed down by a window frame, spying on a couple from the balcony of a hotel room. Richard and his secretary Jane are worried - what to do with the corpse in order to avoid a scandal! And then the service staff, the suddenly arrived wife of Mr. Willie, or the jealous husband of the secretary ...
The horror is that every step only confuses the situation! The plot of the play is twisted and acquires new details and turns throughout the entire performance, making the viewer laugh to tears ...
