The plays of the German playwright Marius von Mayenburg are well known all over the world, but we decided to offer you a completely different interpretation of his most famous work.
"Freak" is a modern European fairy tale about the choice we make every minute, about the search for happiness, about the chance to get the desired life, about uncompromising love, not noticing our cracks and shortcomings, about beauty and standards are mandatory elements of academic achievement in the modern world.
The main character Lette is an engineer who does his little job and lives his own world with his dreams and ghosts until he finds out the true reason for his failures - he is ugly, does not correspond to the canons of the modern world. Therefore, Lette finally decides to become a full-fledged participant in society, the game-show, and decides to take a radical step - to change herself and abandon her "face". But the question remains open whether he will be able to live another new life, and this is his life?
